| BFSC - Policies and Procedures |
| ** Due to insurance requirements, no skater will be allowed on ice unless fees have been paid. |
| 1. Canskate learn to skate students should be 3 years old and must be
able to go on the ice without parent. Parents of skaters under 12 years
of age must be present at the Ice Arena at all times. |
| 2. All Canskaters MUST wear mittens and a hockey or bicycle helmet. Skaters
must also have their own skates. There are no rentals available. |
3. Membership fee must be paid at time of registration. Payment includes:
- Skate Canada Registration Fees
- BC/YT Insurance Fee

| 4. There will be no refunds once the session has started, and after first
learn to skate lesson has been attended. |
| 5. BFSC does not offer refunds or reschedule sessions if times are cancelled
due to weather, mechanical failure, tests, special events, or any other
unforeseen events. |
| 6. Late registrations will be prorated |
| 7. BFSC does not offer refunds except in case of medical circumstances. The skater must miss a minimum of 5 consecutive, registered skating days to qualify. A doctor's certificate must be included with your written request for a refund. The requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Board of Directors. If granted, the refund will be prorated from the date of the medical documentation. |
| 8. BFSC Returned cheque policy - Any person having issued two or more returned cheques to the BFSC must make all subsequent future payments to the Club by either cash, certified cheque, money order of bank draft. A $25.00 service fee will be charged for each returned cheque. |
